A PRODUCT RANGE TAILORED TO YOUR NEEDS

By virtue of our expertise in powder metallurgy, we are able to offer a wide selection of contacts varying by material and shape to best meet customer requirements.

With years of R&D invested in innovative processes, we can produce materials with three different structural configurations depending on final application.

METALOR PROCESS 1

Die compaction:

This process produces a random structure suited to materials such as AgW, AgWC, AgC, and AgNi. Die compaction is associated with three manufacturing technologies: sintering, impregnation, and sintering/calibration. Our experts will assist you in choosing the most appropriate process.

METALOR PROCESS 2

Extrusion and stamping:

The resulting structure is parallel to the contact face. The materials used are AgSnO2, AgC, Agni, and AgCNi. We haves more than twenty years of experience in bi-extrusion technology, which enhances cohesion between the under-layer and the contact layer, thereby preventing delamination risk during the stamping operation. This structure is particularly suitable for devices requiring strong erosion resistance (circuit breakers and contactors).

METALOR PROCESS 3

Extrusion and cutting:

Currently implemented only for AgC tips. The graphite fibers are oriented perpendicular to the contact face. This structure is recommended to prevent the risk of electrical contact sticking (mainly circuit breakers). For other materials or shapes, do not hesitate to contact us for expert advice.
