STRIPS - OUR EXPERIENCE AT YOUR SERVICE

Thanks to our many years of experience, we are able to offer a broad range of strips to our customers. And thanks to our knowledge of powder metallurgy, we are able to design and produce strips to meet your needs and requirements in terms of mechanical and electrical characteristics.

We are a leader in bi-extrusion technologies (simultaneous extrusion of the contact and under-layer material) and hot cladding technologies (brazing alloy and Ag strips). Strips can be delivered as finished products or used as semi-¬finished products in our processes.

WIRES - A PROCESS TAILORED TO EACH MATERIAL

The manufacture of alloy and pseudo-alloy Ag-based wires is one of the core processes of the Metalor Electrotechnics division. The wires are used internally for the production of rivets and tips. Welded-wire assemblies can also be produced as finished products according to customer needs.

We can deliver wires as a semi-finished products in various forms: coils, crowns, or straightened bars. Each of our production sites is outfitted with a metallurgic analysis and characterization laboratory to ensure QA/QC and production to customer specifications.

Fine-Wires

We have built a solid reputation over the years by providing its customers with the materials they need. Fine wires are particularly important in the automotive, electrical, and electronics industries. We produce not only silver-based wires but also uses other precious metals such as Palladium, Platinum, or Gold depending on application. These products can be delivered as wires down to a diameter of 38 µm and also as straight bars of diameter from 1 to 6 mm.

We use state-of-the-art material testing equipment and methods, from composition analysis by X-ray fluorescence to resistivity, micro-hardness, and strength testing of the finished product.
