Metalor laboratories provide an extended range of services within the company, from evaluation of incoming material to quality control on finished products, as well as support to R&D and new businesses. There are 12 laboratories around the world, and our headquarters’ laboratories located in Switzerland are ISO 17025 and ISO 17034 accredited, and work as referee for both the LBMA and LPPM.

SUPPORT TO PRODUCTION AND R&D
Metalor laboratories are extremely well-equipped, with 3 SPARK-OES, more than 10 Atomic Absorption (AAS), more than 10 XRF instruments, and more than 20 ICP-OES spectrometers! Furthermore, those equipment are renewed on regular basis, and Metalor is collaborating with the most famous instrument makers, developing with them precious metal applications. Metalor is also developing many analytical methods in-house, from spectroscopy applications to gravimetry processes.
Several machines were also developed internally, like an automated auto-parting machine for the cupellation process. This machine allowed automatic and fully-controlled nitric acid treatment of the cornet coming from the cupellation, lowering significantly the uncertainty associated with the process.
