In this difficult period linked to COVID-19, I cannot overemphasise the incredible dedication of our 1,500 employees worldwide who, despite this challenging context, have made it possible for us to maintain our operational activities and, in particular, our twelve factories around the world. The diversity and complementarity of our operations have enabled us to overcome this unprecedented crisis. Our supply chain and deliveries to customers have been uninterrupted – proof that Metalor’s operations have the resilience to face a crisis such as the one we have experienced.
Corporate Social Responsibility isn’t just a box we tick. We will continue to promote ethical gold by working alongside our partners and suppliers to ensure the traceability of precious metals to the final product. Our environmental commitment remains firm. We have already achieved significant results by reducing CO2 emissions by more than 5% and 8% of energy consumption and intend to make further progress, notably through the installation of solar panels at several Metalor sites and by identifying potential for increased energy efficiency. Metalor Group has set itself a target of a 20% reduction in CO2 emissions by 2028. Additionally, we will further strengthen workplace safety for our employees with an objective of zero accident. Corporate Social Responsibility is a key element of our long-term success.
As you can see, we are working hard to ensure that Metalor continues to prosper in a positive economic, social and environmental context. As always, all our employees are dedicated to respect customer value.
This is Metalor, a company with a proud past and a bright future.
